- General Requirements
The plans, details, and specifications for the project are designed
to meet or exceed the requirements of the Massachusetts State Building
Code. The Architect must be apprised of any local conditions or requirements
which require modifications to the plans, details and specifications.
The design criteria for this project are as follows:

- Site Work
All site work is the responsibility of the Owner or General Contractor.
This includes all utility connections to within one meter of the
foundation or outside wall of the building. Included but not limited
to Water Supply, Storm & Sanitary Sewer Lines, all Drainage, Electrical
Supply, Telephone, Cable TV, Roads, etc.

- Concrete
All concrete work and engineering is the responsibility of the General
Contractor based on local conditions. The Architect shall be responsible
for the layout of the foundations, footings, and slabs, based on
an assumed allowable soil pressure of 2,000 psf and an assumed concrete
strength of 2,500 psi. Dampproofing per plans. Specifications on
the engineers plans shall supersede these.

- Masonry
The supply of all masonry materials and engineering shall be the responsibility
of the General Contractor. The Architect shall be responsible for
the layout of the foundations, footings, and slabs, based on an assumed

- Metals
All nails, screws, bolts and other fasteners required for the installation
of the building materials are to be included by the Contractor in
each section of the work. Any steel reinforcing required for the
foundations and footings shall be supplied by the site or foundation
contractor.

6.1 Sills
All foundations sills per plans shall be pressure treated; Dow
Sill insulation (or equal)shall be used between foundation
and sill. |
